Dear Korean Friends,

I am honored to serve in Korea as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Korea since September 15, 2023.

Korea is one of the few countries we address using the adjectives “blood brother, ally, and friend”: A sign that Korea has a unique place in the hearts and minds of the Turkish people.

During the Korean War, sincere bonds were formed which brought Türkiye and Korea as well as the people of our two countries closer. We continue our efforts with diligence and determination to strengthen this already strong human bond.

We are pleased to witness the affection between our two countries manifesting itself through mutual projects in education, culture, arts, and sports. We are convinced that the potential of economic and trade relations is far greater than its current level. With the support of both the public and private sectors, we are progressing towards strengthening our cooperation in these areas as well. We aim to carry forward our bilateral relations into the future by expanding our relations in areas such as artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the defense industry.

Given the growing importance of Asia in our foreign policy and Korea's special role in Asia, as the Turkish Embassy, ​​we also draw strength from the close relationship we have established with our citizens residing in Korea. Our Embassy's doors are always open to all our citizens and Korean friends, regardless of whether they reside in Korea or not.
